Johnson County Planning Commission

The Johnson County Planning Commission helps prepare and revise the county's comprehensive plan for growth and development and helps draft the County's zoning and subdivision regulations. The comprehensive plan and zoning regulations are subject to the Board of County Commissioners approval.

Meeting Location: County Administration Building (111 S Cherry St, Olathe, KS), Third Floor, Board Hearing Room

Meeting Time: 5:45 p.m. on fourth Tuesdays. Please check below for any updates to specific meetings. 

Persons who may need assistance or the use of a sign language or oral interpreter, or who require special accommodation, should contact 913-715-2200 or planner@jocogov.org, at least two (2) business days prior to the meeting.

Public Comment Procedures: Please email all public comments to planner@jocogov.org. Comments must be received by 2:00 p.m. the Monday of the week before the meeting to be included in the mailout. Any comments received up until 2:00 p.m. on the Monday before the meeting, will be distributed via email to all Planning Commission members. Comments received after these two deadlines, will be included in the following month's mailout.
