Contractor Licensing is a division of the Department of Planning, Housing and Community Development and is responsible for issuing and tracking 11 types of construction contractor licenses.

The purpose of the Contractor Licensing program is to protect the public welfare by assuring that those undertaking the construction, alteration, repair or demolition of structures are qualified to perform such services.
