Join the line from anywhere
Both Motor Vehicle locations offer a mobile waitlist system so you can check in remotely and track your place in line. You may either join the day’s online waitlist or book an appointment up to 30 days in advance.
Important Notes
- Join the Waitlist: The virtual line opens each weekday at 6 a.m.
- Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Waitlist shows “currently unavailable:" We’ve reached capacity for the day and our estimated wait times exceed 4 p.m.
Appointments
- Open 30 days in advance and fill quickly.
- If the option is grayed out, all slots are booked for the next 30 days.
- New appointments open daily (if the 30th day is a weekday).
- Cancellations or unconfirmed bookings may reopen spots sporadically, so check back often.
To reserve a place in line/Make an Appointment:
1. Select "Reserve a Place in Line."
Once you have joined the line/made an appointment:
1. A text with a link will be sent once you join the line.
For Waitlist, the link will include your current estimated wait time. For Appointments, the link will include your appointment information.
*Watch for a text to confirm your appointment 48 hours in advance. If you do not confirm your appointment, it will be canceled 24 hours before your scheduled time.
2. Receive a text notification when you are summoned to a window.

- Check your link frequently. You are only provided an estimated return time. Times may shift significantly due to customer volume and behavior.
- The queue may open and close depending on demand.
- Office hours for both Mission and Olathe locations are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4: p.m., excluding county holidays.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I still get service without an appointment?
Yes, as long as you have joined the online daily waitlist, which is available until the wait time exceeds 4 p.m.
I've been unable to join the online waitlist. What are my next steps?
- Try Again Later: The waitlist may reopen throughout the day if capacity allows. Check back periodically, as availability can change due to cancellations or no-shows.
- Book an Appointment: If same-day service isn’t available, consider scheduling an appointment. Appointments open 30 days in advance and may become available if others cancel or don’t confirm.
- Check Both Locations: If you're flexible, try checking availability at both the Mission and Olathe offices.
Do you allow walk-ins?
Those who walk in to join the daily waitlist are not guaranteed a spot once the queue reaches capacity. Going online to join the waitlist or to book an appointment is the best way to obtain service. For the quickest and most reliable service, we strongly recommend joining the online waitlist before arriving. The waitlist opens daily at 6 a.m., and spots fill quickly.
