Park concert set May 11 in JCPRD park

A free outdoor chamber music concert, featuring an ensemble of Kansas City Symphony musicians, is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. May 11 at Heritage Park in Olathe.

No registration is required. The concert will be performed at shelter No. 1 near the marina at Heritage Park.

The performance, lasting 30 to 40 minutes, will feature musicians from the symphony. The event is part of a larger series of outdoor concerts by the symphony throughout the Kansas City metro area.

Other concerts in parks of the Johnson County Park and Recreation are being planned during the summer. Scheduling and locations will be announced when plans are finalized.

Patrons are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy each and all park concerts.

Last year, seven symphony concerts were performed in four JCPRD parks.
