Johnson County Department of Health and Environment (JCDHE) is asking Johnson County residents to complete a short survey in order to understand how many people in Johnson County have or do not have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19). The survey will close at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 10.

The Information & Assistance Line is a telephone resource through which people may find out about services and resources in Johnson County. The phones are answered by information & assistance specialists, who will discuss options for each person’s particular needs.

We offer services such as housekeeping, attendant personal care, meals on wheels, caregiver support, legal assistance, options counseling, and meals and socialization at neighborhood senior centers.

We also offer a variety of booklets and brochures regarding services for residents of Johnson County. We have information about all kinds of housing: subsidized housing, independent retirement communities, assisted living, board and care homes, skilled nursing facilities and continuing care.   See listings in our Aging & Accessibility Directory online.

We have information about helpful options, such as medicaid, utility assistance, minor home repair, weatherization, money management and credit counseling organizations, transportation, legal assistance, employment, and more.

We also share information about activities and programs for seniors including recreation and fitness, volunteer opportunities, social events, and support groups.
