Information and Referral Services
The Johnson County Area Agency on Aging offers a single point of entry for services for older adults. Information specialists are your starting point for locating resources such as in-home services, congregate and home-delivered meals, transportation, legal assistance, insurance, housing and more.

The Information and Assistance Line is a telephone resource through which people may find out about services and resources in Johnson County. The phones are answered by information and assistance specialists, who will discuss options for each person’s particular needs. Call 913-715-8861 or 1-888-214-4404.
We offer services such as housekeeping, attendant personal care, home-delivered meals, caregiver support, legal assistance, options counseling, and meals and socialization at neighborhood senior centers.
We also offer a variety of booklets and brochures regarding services for residents of Johnson County. We have information about all kinds of housing: subsidized housing, independent retirement communities, assisted living, board and care homes, skilled nursing facilities and continuing care.
We have information about helpful service options and resources, such as Medicaid, housing, long-term care, public benefits, minor home repair, utility assistance, weatherization, transportation, legal assistance, employment and more. We also share information about activities and programs for seniors including recreation and fitness, volunteer opportunities, social events and support groups.
