A 50 Plus Ring in the New Year event will take place from noon to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 30 at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood Dr.

Sponsored by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District, activities include musical entertainment by Misty Town, six games of bingo and lunch.

Cost is $17 per for Johnson County residents and $19 for a nonresident.
