The Johnson County Administration Building was completed and occupied in 1992. It was designed to incorporate many of the architectural features of the 1892 courthouse, which was demolished in 1952. It serves as the seat of the County Government, housing the Board of County Commissioners' Offices and is the location for all BOCC meetings, as well as most of the non-judicial public hearings.
