As Johnson County residents, we recognize our county as a great place to live, work and raise a family. JoCo Academy allows community-minded individuals to discover what makes our high quality of life possible through behind the scene tours, hands-on activities, and conversations with county elected officials and staff.
Come visit with commissioners, explore the county budget, learn about civic engagement/volunteer opportunities, and tour various county facilities! Upon completion of at least eight of the 10 sessions, participants will receive a certificate.
How to Apply
JoCo Academy is open to all Johnson County residents and employees and supports 40 participants in each class.
We are not currently taking applications for JoCo Academy, but applications will open soon for the spring 2023 session. For more information, please contact the County Manager's Office at 913-715-0729.
