Inspections
The permit document will include a list of required inspections for your project. Each inspection must be completed in order to satisfy the requirements of the permit. All inspections must be scheduled online through the MyGovernmentOnline (MGO) customer portal.
Expiration
Wastewater permits are valid for one year. If a permit expires with no work completed, all sanitary sewer work must stop, and no further inspections will be permitted until the permit is reissued. However, if substantial progress has been made, the permit expiration may be extended at JCW's discretion.
Sewer Use Credit Program
The Sewer Use Credit Program is a voluntary program available to commercial customers who wish to obtain financial credit for water that does not enter the Johnson County Wastewater (JCW) collection system (e.g., irrigation, cooling towers, water used in product, etc.). If you wish to enroll in the Sewer Use Credit Program, please visit our Sewer Use Credit webpage for additional information.
