Johnson County Mental Health Center offers job shadowing and visitor observation opportunities for potential future employees, students and other approved individuals. Those requesting a visit should complete the Job Shadowing Request Application below.

Once your application is received and approved, we will reach out to make final arrangements and obtain appropriate HIPAA and confidentiality/safety authorization. If you have questions, please send an email to MNH-Staff-Dev@jocogov.org.

Please check our locations for current hours before shadowing.

Before applying, please note:

• We do our best to find a shadowing opportunity that meets an applicant's goals, but we cannot always accommodate preferences due to the high volume of applicants.
• We cannot guarantee a shadowing opportunity with client interactions.
• There are limitations on who applicants under 18 years of age can shadow.
• Shadowing opportunities are limited to one visit per year.
