Seasonal flu vaccine available in mid-October
The best way to protect yourself from getting the flu is to receive the flu shot. The vaccine is safe and effective. The Johnson County Department of Health and Environment encourages everyone over the age of 6 months to get the flu shot.
Starting in mid-October, we will offer the seasonal flu vaccine for adults and children over the age of 6 months and high-dose flu vaccine for adults age 65 and older at our immunization walk-in clinics in Olathe and Mission. We will update this page with the date of availability after our vaccine arrives.
The flu vaccine is available at some pharmacies, retail stores, doctor's offices, and urgent care centers in Johnson County. Enter your zip code in the Flu Vaccine Finder to find a vaccine provider near you.
