COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective at preventing serious illness and complications from COVID-19. The Johnson County Department of Health and Environment recommends that everyone at higher risk for serious illness, hospitalization or even death from COVID-19 infection get vaccinated. Anyone else who wants to protect themselves, their loved ones and the community should consult with their healthcare provider regarding vaccination.

The COVID-19 vaccine is available at JCDHE's walk-in immunization clinics in Olathe and Mission. No appointment is needed. The vaccine is also available through health systems, clinics and pharmacies.
