There are many ways to donate to the programs of Aging and Human Services.

Donate online:

Scroll up the page until you find the program you want to support, such as Home-Delivered Meals or the food pantry. Beneath the program name, you’ll see a large blue button labeled “DONATE TO…” in white text. Click that button once, and you’ll be taken to a secure donation page.

Donate by check:

Mail your check to our office at: Johnson County Aging & Human Services 11811 S Sunset Dr., Suite 1300, Olathe, KS 66061.

On the memo line, please designate the program you would like to support (such as CHAMPSS or Catch-a-Ride).

Donate by phone:

 Make a credit card donation by calling 913-715-8800.

Donate in person:

Come into the office, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., (excluding federal holidays). 11811 S Sunset Dr., Suite 1300, Olathe, KS 66061.

We provide suggested donation amounts to help cover the cost of providing these services. However, these are only suggestions—please contribute what is comfortable for you.

Home-Delivered Meals and Nutrition Centers

For participants age 60+ and their spouses, we suggest:

• Breakfast: $3.00 per meal ($15.00 per week)
• Lunch: $4.00 per meal ($20.00 per week)

Note: Donation letters are provided each month by the Home-Delivered Meals volunteer driver and nutrition center participants can pick one up at your local nutrition center along with the upcoming month’s menus.

CHAMPSS

• Suggested Donation: $5.00 per meal

Note: Donation letters are mailed monthly to participants who utilize CHAMPSS. The actual cost to provide each meal is $7.00.

Catch-a-Ride

• One-way trip: $6.00
• Round trip: $12.00

Note: Donation letters are mailed monthly to help you keep track of your rides.

Food Pantry

• $50 Donation: Helps feed a family of four for four days.
• You can also support us by shopping our Amazon Wish List, which delivers high-need food items straight to our shelves.

No one is ever denied service if they are unable to donate.

While our programs rely on suggested donations to remain sustainable, our primary mission is to ensure you receive the support you need. If a donation is not possible for you at this time, please do not let that prevent you from utilizing our services.

Home Delivered Meals, CHAMPSS, and the nutrition centers are funded through a combination of federal, state, and county funding along with individual contributions. The Older Americans Act (OAA) is the primary source of funding.

Catch-a-Ride and the food assistance program (food pantry) are both funded by the county.

Your donations directly support these programs, helping sustain and expand services.

All our programs including Home-Delivered Meals, CHAMPSS, Catch-a-Ride, food pantry and the nutrition centers are administered by Johnson County Aging and Human Services. Because of this, our department name appears as the merchant on all online donations.

If you donate online, your bank or credit card statement will show JOCO AGING AND HUMAN SERVICES as the merchant. Unfortunately, this is a standard setting in our payment processing system that we cannot customize for each program.

Check your receipt: Your digital receipt will clearly list the specific program you selected (such as Catch-a-Ride, CHAMPSS, etc.).

Internal Tracking: Our system automatically tags your payment to the specific program you chose at checkout, ensuring the funds stay exactly where you intended.

Online donations:

• Select the program you would like to support above and enter the donation amount.
  • Click Checkout (don’t worry, you will be able to enter the honoree’s name on the next screen)
  • Enter your payment information, billing address, shipping address (if different from billing address)
  • At the bottom right side of the page, find the ‘Custom Section’ field and enter the name of the individual you are honoring or memorializing.

By phone:

• When making your donation on the telephone, please tell the staff member the name of the honoree.

By mail or in person:

• On the memo line of your check, include both the program name for the donation and the name of the individual you are honoring or memorializing.

Note: If you missed this section during checkout but would like to add a tribute to your donation after the fact, please email us at ahsdonations@jocogov.org and we will be happy to update our records for you.

Online Donations

Online donations will automatically generate a digital receipt that is emailed to you as soon as your donation is completed.  If you did not receive a receipt and would like one, please email ahsdonations@jocogov.org.

Check or Phone Donations

If you make a donation by check or over the phone, you can request a receipt at any time by emailing ahsdonations@jocogov.org. Please include your name, the donation amount (if known), and the approximate date of your gift so we can locate your record quickly.
