Johnson County accepting public comment on 2023 CAPER and 2025-2029 Needs Assessment

Johnson County is seeking input on the draft of its 2023 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report, as well as community development and housing needs of low-to-moderate-income residents.

Two public hearings will take place on March 11, 2024 at 6 p.m. in Lower Level Room 200 of the County Administration Building, 111 Cherry St., Olathe, KS 66062. You will be able to participate in person or virtually via Zoom.

The first public hearing is regarding the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report for the 2023 calendar year. The CAPER describes how the CDBG and HOME funds were used to accomplish program objectives in 2023. You can view the draft CAPER online or in person at the Community Development Office, Suite 2000 of the County Administration Building.

The second public hearing is regarding community development and housing needs the Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships, and Johnson County Housing Authority programs will address in 2025-2029.

Additionally, you can fill out this survey on the 2025 Needs Assessment through March 10, 2024.
