These links replace the Johnson County COVID-19 dashboard that was developed and maintained by county staff throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The COVID-19 dashboard was developed to fill a need that existed at the beginning of the pandemic for Johnson County-specific data that was not available elsewhere. Now, the CDC, KDHE and other organizations make Johnson County data available in a timely manner. Public health agencies, healthcare providers, employers, schools and governments rely on these sources for COVID-19 information to make decisions and recommendations to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The data posted on this website is what nursing homes submit through the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) system. The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) and CDC perform quality assurance checks on the data. Data regarding the number of new cases, suspected cases, or deaths are aggregated. Nursing homes have the ability to correct their data so future postings include corrected data.
