Children and Family

  • Johnson County Mental Health Department offers residential treatment for adolescents experiencing problems related to drugs or alcohol. The program is staffed 24 hours a day by licensed clinicians, case managers and direct care staff, providing teens with a safe, trauma informed environment to begin their recovery.

  • Johnson County Child Care Licensing division works with all child care facilities in Johnson County. Kansas Child Care Licensing Law states that anyone providing care for children other than those related by blood, marriage, or adoption, must be licensed.

  • District Court Trustee provides resources to calculate support.

  • The Domestic unit of Court Services provides services and resources for families going through the separation / divorce process or in post-divorce matters in the Johnson County District Court. These services include mediation and conciliation for separated or divorce parents, written family assessments (home studies) for the District Court, "Higher Ground" court-ordered education program for high conflict families, supervised visitation and supervised exchange program, and Parents Forever court ordered education for divorce or paternity case participants.
