The best way to ensure that you child’s restraint system is the right one and being used correctly is to have an inspection by a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).  The Sheriff’s Office has certified CPSTs who are available to help parents and caregivers make sure your child’s car seat is installed properly and your child is properly harnessed and restrained in those seats.  Car seat inspections are by appointment only, between 8:30am-3:00pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays at the following location:
