JoCo Library resources are available for Book Groups
The Library will offer staff-facilitated Book Groups this fall at 11 of our 14 locations and online via Zoom, with discussions hosted each day of the week except Friday. Book Groups aren’t just for adults, either – the whole family can get involved with options for kids, tweens and teens.

Classes help tech confidence
Johnson County Park and Recreation District’ s 50 Plus Program offers several types of classes with a patient instructor in a supportive learning environment for aging adults to embrace technology involving basic computer and smartphone usage at navigating the internet and using social media.

Unspoken Symphony class turns artwork into music
Aging and Human Services celebrated Older Americans Month in May by hosting a Lunch & Learn series. The last event in that series was an Unspoken Symphony class where participants created a piece of art that was then turned into a musical melody.
Johnson County Fair begins July 28
The Johnson County Fair, featuring its annual mid-summer fun, begins July 28 and ends Aug. 3 at the county fairgrounds in downtown Gardner.
