Purpose
Helps prepare and revise the County's comprehensive plan for growth and development and helps draft the County's zoning and subdivision regulations. The comprehensive plan and zoning regulations are subject to the Board of County Commissioners approval.

Note: The December 14th meeting will be a hybrid meeting. You are welcome to join via Zoom or attend in person at the Johnson County Administration Building, Board Hearing Room, 3rd Floor, 111 South Cherry Street, Olathe, Kansas 66061. Zoom instructions will be made available the week prior to the meeting. 

ZOOM PROCEDURES FOR THE JOHNSON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION DECEMBER 14TH MEETING

A Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Regulation amendments are proposed for discussion by the Johnson County Planning Commission to bring greater clarity and specificity for how the County reviews and potentially authorizes utility scale solar facilities. 

Johnson County wants your input! Please send your comments to planner@jocogov.org. Comments must be received by 2:00 P.M. on the Monday of the week before the meeting to be included in the packet sent to the Planning Commission members. Any comments received after that cutoff, need to be received by 2:00 P.M. the day before the meeting (Monday) to be posted online and distributed via email to the PC members. All other comments received after these cutoffs will be included in the following month's meeting packet.
