Lexis -We continue to partner with LexisNexis during our closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic in order to continue providing access to Library Patrons remotely during this crises.
If you cannot otherwise conduct legal research you are welcome to register for a one-time Lexis Advance® ID at https://www.lexisnexis.com/en-us/pa-access.page. This ID will be good until for 30 days or until October 31, 2020. This ID will be delivered to you within one business day and allows you to conduct research on the cases, codes, and secondary resources needed for their legal work and personal legal research.

Westlaw-Remote access to Westlaw for patrons of public law libraries has been updated with new content and a new link dedicated to the Patron Access trial!
The NEW trial link can be found here: https://legal.thomsonreuters.com/en/c/remote-patron-access. As with the previous Westlaw access, patrons will be required to register.
The Westlaw usage parameters for this trial have changed to 20 hours of usage over 14 days. The end date of this program is yet to be determined. Content includes primary law, secondary sources, litigation, and Practical Law on the Westlaw Classic platform. For instructions click here.
The library contains most resources needed for researching the law of the United States, Kansas or other states. Resources include:
- Kansas statutes and case law
- Federal statutes and case law
- Case law of all other states
- Missouri statutes and case law
- Practice handbooks covering Kansas and Missouri law in many areas
- Legal encyclopedias, treatises and other materials
- Recent legal periodicals
The library is continuously updating its collection. You can search for materials in the catalog or review its most recent acquisitions.
