Open House: Needs Assessment Public Engagement

Have a say in how Johnson County spends Community Development Block Grant Funds! The county is working on its Five-Year Consolidated Plan for 2025-2029. This plan will detail how the county allocates approximately $5.2 million dollars to serve low- and moderate-income residents and neighborhoods.

Developing this plan will not be possible without your input! Join your community to learn about how Johnson County has used these funds in the past and to help identify high priority community service, housing, and public infrastructure needs. Stop in as your schedule allows.

Open House #1

This open house, co-hosted with the City of Overland Park, will take place Wednesday, April 17 from 4:30-6 p.m. in the Vista Room at Matt Ross Community Center, 8101 Marty St., Overland Park, KS 66204.

What is the Community Development Block Grant?

The Community Development Block Grant Program is operated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The CDBG Program provides annual grants to states, cities, and counties to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, primarily for low- and moderate-income persons.
