The office manages voter registration, precinct boundaries, candidate filings and campaign reports, and conducts all elections for more than 2,400 elected positions in the county. Regularly scheduled elections include national, state, county, township and all local city, school, water and drainage district elections as well as community college trustee contests in August and November of even and odd-numbered years.  The Election Office also administers special election in the county either by mail or polls on the first Tuesday in March of every year.
