The office of the County Clerk is located in the County Administration Building, 111 S. Cherry St. Suite 1200 Olathe, KS 66061. The County Clerk is responsible for calculating and preparing tax levies based on budget submissions from taxing jurisdictions, preparing real estate, personal property, and state assessed tax rolls for certification to the County Treasurer, updating ownership on the tax roll based on recorded documents with the Register of Deeds office and maintaining base level mapping of all taxing units in the County to submit annually to the State of Kansas Property Valuation Department. County Clerk services are provided by the Treasury, Taxation and Vehicles department.
