Air show to feature Blue Angels

Four Blue Angel planes flying in an airshow

Relive the past and celebrate the future of aviation at the Garmin KC Air Show on Aug. 19-20.

New Century Air-Center, formerly known as Olathe Naval Air Station (where astronaut and former U.S. Senator John Glenn and TV host Bob Barker trained), will once again feature the U.S. Navy Blue Angels alongside the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team and the U.S. Marines F-35 B Lightning II.

Activities will also include World War II and Vietnam-era aircraft, such as the P-51 and MiG-17, both in the air and on the ground.

The Garmin KC Air Show is free for active-duty military with a government- issued ID. Veterans with ID will receive the discounted ticket price of $40 at the gate.

Tickets and additional information are available at kcairshow.org.
