VITA program set to start

Last year, Johnson County’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance volunteers completed more than 1,400 federal and state tax returns. Most of the returns were completed by mail-in and drop-off due to COVID-19.

This year, the Johnson County K-State Research and Extension will again partner with the Kansas City Metro Tax Coalition and El Centro to sponsor a VITA site, starting in February.

Details about the local VITA site, dates, times and tax instructions will be posted on the Extension Office website at johnson.k-state.edu in January once more information is available to set up the program in 2022.
