Watch for 2020 Informal appeal result letters

The Johnson County Appraiser’s Office will notify residents of their Informal appeal decision hearings via a Notification of Results letter, postmarked by May 20.

Due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 stay-at-home orders, in-person hearings have not been possible.

“The Appraiser’s Office would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding through this challenging time,” said Beau Boisvert, County Appraiser.

He also praised the office staff, saying they had done a great job of contacting residents, reviewing documentation and conducting telephone hearings.

“The Appraiser’s Office has provided the best possible service, given the situation,” Boisvert said.

Following is the status of Informal hearings as of May 1, 2020. The official data will be available May 20, 2020. The 2019 statistics are included as a source of reference.
