Second phase of t-hangar reconstruction at Johnson County Executive Airport to begin in 2025
The reconstruction of t-hangar rows Mike and November at Johnson County Executive Airport is underway. This marks the second set of two rows of t-hangars, originally built in the early 1970s, to undergo a reset.
The reconstruction of Kilo and Lima rows was completed at the end of 2024. Mike and November, the two t-hangar buildings located on the south end near the air traffic control tower, have exceeded their useful life. Their reconstruction will signify the complete reset of all t-hangars at Johnson County Executive Airport.
Both the Airport Commission and the Board of County Commissioners have approved a contract with Centric Construction Group, LLC to carry out the demolition and reconstruction of the t-hangar buildings this year.
Johnson County Executive Airport, located in Olathe at 151st Street and Pflumm Road, handles over 50,000 annual operations and approximately 150 based aircraft, making it the fourth-busiest towered airport in Kansas.
