The fact of the matter is virtual interaction has become reality!

Not only that, it has served as the primary means of engagement for the Johnson County Park and Recreation District’s 50 Plus programming throughout the pandemic. When on-site activities begin to slowly open in JCPRD, virtual programming will most likely remain an option as well.

As summer begins, 50 Plus staff continues to offer engaging virtual programs, while keeping a finger on the pulse of COVID-19 protocols.

Upcoming complimentary virtual programs include:

  • “How Hollywood Conquered the West,” two in a four-part series, at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 13 and 10 a.m. Thursday, June 10.
  • “Pollinator Gardens” at 10 a.m. Thursday May 27.
  • “Fairy Gardens” at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 15.

A six-part series “Powerful Tools for Caregivers,” beginning at 1:30 Thursday, June 17-July 20.

Ongoing virtual programs by 50 Plus include bingo, Scattergories, fitness programs and the Wanderlust Book Club.
