Online series to focus on data privacy

Johnson County Park and Recreation District observance of Data Privacy Day on Jan. 28 will extend to a Data Privacy Week with a series of classes on how to check privacy settings on all wireless devices and more in protecting personal information.

A different topic is covered in each free 90-minute session that begins at 1 p.m. It will take place virtually via Zoom.

Course topics and dates are as follows:

  • Monday, Jan. 23 – Privacy vs. Personalization.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 25 – Facebook Settings.
  • Friday, Jan. 27 – Cyber-security.
