Why are Johnson County Wastewater payments being sent to St. Louis?

Johnson County has recently transitioned to a new banking partner, U.S. Bank. The bank provides a streamlined receivables solution, called a lockbox, to receive, open and process payments by mail for Johnson County through its processing center in St. Louis, Missouri. U.S. Bank went through a competitive request for proposal (RFP) process to earn the contract to provide comprehensive banking services for Johnson County, including lockbox services.

By working with a banking partner to process payments in this way, the county can provide a faster, more secure, and cost-effective solution to payment processing for our residents.
