Johnson County continuing display of public art at County Administration Building, Library branches

Cloth artwork hanging on a grey wall in the Johnson County Administration Building

Johnson County Government is continuing its partnership with InterUrban ArtHouse to display public art at several county facilities.

Art is displayed at an exhibition space at the Johnson County Administration Building and dedicated gallery spaces in nine Johnson County Library branches.

The county began a partnership with InterUrban ArtHouse in 2024 for a rotating art exhibition at the Administration Building. The exhibition space is located on the building’s main level.

The newest exhibition was installed in the building in January, showcasing the work of Creative Cloth and KE Griffin. Creative Cloth features a diverse group of fiber artists. Griffen is a quilting and performing artist who creates intricate art quilts, abstracts, and panels.

You can view the current exhibit during the Administration Building’s operating hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Additionally, in January, the Johnson County Library approved its continued partnership with InterUrban ArtHouse for the second full year of curation in nine branch spaces:

You can learn more about the exhibitions’ featured artists and their work on the Library’s website.
