Notice for Public Hearings: 2024 CAPER and 2026 Needs Assessment

Johnson County is seeking input on the draft of its 2024 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report, as well as community development and housing needs of low-to-moderate-income residents.

Two public hearings will take place on March 19, 2025 at 9 a.m. in the Carmack Community Room at the Central Resource Library, 9875 W. 87th St. Overland Park, KS 66212. You will be able to participate in person or virtually via Zoom.

The first public hearing is regarding the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report for the 2024 calendar year. The CAPER describes how the CDBG and HOME funds were used to accomplish program objectives in 2024. You can view the draft CAPER online or in person at the Community Development Office, Suite 2000 of the County Administration Building.

The second public hearing is regarding community development and housing needs the Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships, and Johnson County Housing Authority programs will address in 2026.

If you require special accommodation (i.e., qualified interpreter, hearing assistance, etc.) to participate in the public hearings, please notify the Community Development Coordinator no later than 48 hours prior to the meeting.
