County Auditor's Office releases performance audit on how Johnson County manages data
Johnson County’s County Auditor's Office has conducted a performance audit on how the county manages data. It found the county is making progress Identifying and classifying data, but more awareness of vendor security reviews is needed.
This performance audit focuses on how the county manages data through the efforts of the Department of Technology and Innovation to identify data custodians, classify data and review vendor information security. Although a vendor information security review process is in place, the county uses some vendors of software and software subscriptions that have not been assessed.
