Cedar Roe Library closing for two weeks starting Aug. 8

Brick library building with slanted dark brown roof

Starting Monday, Aug. 8, the Cedar Roe branch of Johnson County Library is closing for two weeks for maintenance. The branch, located at 5120 Cedar St. in Roeland Park, will be back in operation following construction.

The maintenance will consist of interior and exterior updates, so that the library can continue to serve the public. The library previously received bathroom and carpet updates, as well as an upgraded HVAC system.

If you have holds at Cedar Roe Library, please pick them up by Saturday, Aug. 6. If holds are not picked up by then, they will remain on the shelf an additional two weeks after the original expiration date. Check your Library account for specific dates.

If you have returns, please drop them at another library branch. While Cedar Roe Library will be closed Aug. 8-19, there are 13 other branches of the Johnson County Library you can visit.
