Agreement for disposal of wastewater residuals
Approved an agreement with the Little Blue Valley Sewer District to allow for emergency disposal of wastewater residuals from the Blue River Main Wastewater Treatment Facility during construction of the Nelson Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements Project.
Consent Agenda Vote: Passed 7-0.

CERI releases May 2025 edition of Economic Indicators
The May 2025 edition of the Economic Indicators for Johnson County has been provided by the County Economic Research Institute. Information included: the unemployment rate for March 2025 is 3.6%, a 0.8% increase; 785 single-family homes were sold in March 2025, a 36% increase; year-to-date single-family homes sold in 2025 was 1,537, a 7% increase; 162 single-family building permits were issued in March 2025, a 17% increase; year-to-date 420 single-family building permits have been issued in 2025, a 14% increase; and total year-to-date retail sales for Johnson County were $3.04 billion, as of February 2025, a 0.5% increase.

Each year, many of our area chambers of commerce hold leadership classes where participants get in-depth information on the school districts, local governments, nonprofits, health care systems and other organizations in their communities. In 2025, the following 10 Johnson County Government employees participated in a chamber of commerce leadership program and graduate from their programs in May/June.

Board receives budget presentations on public safety departments
As part of the ongoing FY 2026 budget process, the Board received department presentations from Public Safety, Judicial & Emergency Services, including the District Attorney, District Courts, Sheriff, Department of Emergency Services and Department of Corrections) and Department of Health & Environment.

Appraisal correction
Clerical Error 046-087-36-0-10-07-01.00-0: Consider authorizing the County Appraiser’s Office to make an appraisal correction to the 2024 tax roll for Commercial Real Estate pursuant to K.S.A. 79-1701a.
Antenna equipment for courthouse
Consider approving a no-cost agreement with AT&T to add bidirectional antenna equipment to the Courthouse.
Housing agreements for juveniles
Resolution No. 057-25. Consider adopting Resolution No. 057-25 to delegate authority to the county manager or designee to enter into housing agreements with other counties in the State of Kansas to house juveniles while they go through the adjudication and post-adjudication process.
Interlocal agreement for new parking garage
Consider approving an interlocal cooperation agreement with the City of Olathe for 50% cost sharing of the design and construction for a new parking garage in downtown Olathe in an amount not to exceed $11 million.
Election services
Request for Proposal 2024-027. Consider authorizing a contract with K&H Election Services, for elections printing and mailing services at a cost not-to-exceed $615,000 for an initial period of one year with the option to renew for four additional 1-year terms with an annual cost not-to-exceed $615,000.
