The Johnson County Community Developmental Disabilities Organization will host a forum for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their circles of support to learn about Self-Direction and Personal Care Services available in Johnson County, KS, and have their questions answered by local providers.

Personal Care Services is a Home and Community Based waiver service that allows a person or guardian to self-direct residential supports, day supports, or supports in the family home. These services provide necessary one-on-one assistance both in the home and in the community.

Activities include assisting with daily living tasks and household chores, social/recreational opportunities, and other adaptive skills to increase independence and community involvement. Come and hear from Fiscal Management Services providers about Self-Direction, Personal Care Services and Supportive Home Care. FMS providers will be available for questions throughout the forum.
