Johnson County is hosting public meetings to provide an overview of the proposed adoption of the 2024 International Code Council (ICC) codes and the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC) for unincorporated Johnson County, KS.

The meetings will provide an opportunity for the public and interested stakeholders to learn more about the proposed code updates and what they mean for building, construction and safety in Johnson County.

The meetings will take place Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026 and Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026 from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Johnson County Administration Building, 111 S. Cherry St., Lower Level Room 200, Olathe, KS 66061.

The proposed updates include the 2024 IBC, IRC, IMC, IPC, IFGC, IECC, IFC, IEBC, ISPSC and IPMC, as well as the 2023 NEC.
