2027 Community Development Block Grant Application Workshop

Agencies serving the following populations in Johnson County, Kansas are invited to the 2027 CDBG Application Workshop:

  • Low- and moderate-income persons or areas
  • Abused children
  • Battered spouses
  • Elderly persons
  • Adults meeting the Bureau of the Census' Current Population Reports definition of “severely disabled
  • Unsheltered persons
  • Illiterate adults
  • Persons living with AIDS
  • Migrant farm workers

The purpose of the application workshop is to provide a detailed overview of the full life cycle of a CDBG grant, beginning with the application process and ending with grant closure requirements and recordkeeping regulations. 

Eligible applicants for CDBG are limited to the seventeen Johnson County Cities with Cooperation Agreements, Johnson County Departments, Nonprofit Organizations with IRS 501(c)3 status, For profit Economic Development Organizations, Community Based Development Organizations and Faith-Based Organizations.
