Johnson County Community Development and Housing Services are holding two public hearings on March 11, 2024 at the Johnson County Administration Building, 111 S. Cherry St., Olathe, KS in Lower Level Room 200 as well as via Zoom. We will provide the Zoom information closer to the public hearing date.

Public Hearing on Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report

The first hearing will be on the draft of the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report Jan. 1, 2023 through Dec. 31, 2023. The CAPER describes how Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships funds were used to accomplish program objectives during 2023. Once complete, the draft CAPER will be available at the Community Development Office, Suite 2000 in the County Administration Building and online.

Public Hearing on CDBG and HOME Programs 2025-2029

The second hearing will be on the housing and community development needs of low-to moderate-income residents to be addressed by the CDBG and HOME programs in 2025-2029. The hearing will gather input to assess the community development and housing needs of extremely low to moderate income residents. It will help propose plans and programs to meet those needs in cooperation with cities and county departments or other bodies, both public and private, for consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.
