BECOME AN INTERN
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office offers paid summer internships to college students, and unpaid year-round internships to high school students who are interested in a career in law enforcement. This opportunity allows students to observe law enforcement operations, learn more about the law enforcement environment and be mentored by trained professionals.
Our interns will receive quality hands-on experience while also having the opportunity to explore many areas of the agency including, but not limited to, the Detention Division, Patrol Division, Communications Division, Court Security Division and Training Division.
HIGH SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS
JUNIOR OR SENIOR/17 OR 18 YEARS OF AGE (Parent/legal guardian required if under 18)
CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN HIGH SCHOOL
VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
SIGN LIABILITY WAIVERS & COMPLETE THE FULL APPLICATION PROCESS
COLLEGE REQUIREMENTS
18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER
VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
ENROLLED IN A COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY

JCSO CRIME LAB INTERNSHIPS
Internships at our Crime Lab provide a mutual benefit for the intern and our lab, through original experiments, secondary research projects and/or general laboratory tasks.
