Pregnancy & Postpartum Support
Pregnancy and caring for a new baby can bring both excitement and challenges. Johnson County Department of Health and Environment provides free, personalized support to help families have a healthy pregnancy, a healthy baby, and a positive postpartum experience.
Our caring team works with you during pregnancy and after your baby is born to answer questions, provide education, and connect you with resources that meet your family's unique needs. Services include:
- Education about pregnancy, childbirth, infant care, and parenting
- Help connecting with healthcare providers and community resources
- One-on-one support and guidance from caring professionals
No matter your age or whether this is your first baby, we're here to support you. If you have questions about your pregnancy and parenting, are looking for community resources or just aren't sure where to start, we're here to help. Visits are scheduled at a time that works for you and can take place in your home, at another convenient location or virtually, when available.
Who Is Eligible?
Maternal Child Outreach Services are available to all pregnant persons and families with infants up to 1-year who live in Johnson County, Kansas or Miami County, Kansas. Services are available to all eligible families, regardless of age or whether this is your first child. There are no income requirements to qualify.
