Application Information

To apply for an academic field experience at the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment, please review the student guidelines below and complete a student application.

Student Guidelines

Students must...

  • Adhere to all county policies and department procedures.
  • Complete all required paperwork as requested throughout the field experience.
  • Arrange transportation to, from and between sites as needed according to their field experience.
  • Represent the county and the department in a respectable manner.
  • Arrive on time per their schedule set by their preceptor.
  • Communicate with their preceptor on a regular basis.
  • Maintain confidentiality.

Screening

The education coordinator will contact you within one week.

Interview

The prospective preceptor will set up an interview within one week of your completed screening.

Offer

The education coordinator will contact you with an offer or regards.
