Have you ever wondered what the inside of that big rig or tractor looks like?

Do you have a child or grandchild who loves trucks?

If so, bring them out to Shawnee Mission Park to explore trucks, tractors, construction and city vehicles up close from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 19 at the Theatre in the Park complex, 7710 Renner Road.

Trucks and Big Rigs for Kids will allow attendees of all ages to crawl, climb and sit in the driver’s seat and talk with the real-life operators of these vehicles.

The event will be sensory friendly – no horns or sirens.

Suggested donations of $10 per vehicle will be accepted and proceeds from this event benefit Johnson County Park and Recreation District’s Special Populations/Special Olympics.
