50 Plus offers one-day trips
Johnson County Park and Recreation District’s 50 Plus Department is kicking off the New Year with one-day wanders, including:
- “’That’s How It Is’… and Was.” Wednesday, Feb. 19. Spend the day in St. Joseph, Mo., immersed in the history of the mail system at the Pony Express Museum and the Patee House along with tours of the Jesse James house and the Walter Cronkite Memorial. Cost is $129/$142 nonresidents. Lunch included. Motorcoach transport.
- “Irish Eyes in Kansas City.” Friday, March 21. Discover some of Kansas City’s finest spots to experience Irish culture. Activities include a stop at Browne’s Irish Market for coffee, scones and shopping, a visit to the Irish Center of Kansas City and tour of the Restless Spirits Distillery. Cost is $159/$175 nonresidents. Lunch included. Motorcoach transport.
