PPE distribution update, EOC deactivated

Johnson County Emergency Management has offered personal protective equipment (PPE) for local organizations in response to COVID-19. Through the last month’s distribution effort, Johnson County distributed an additional 1,803,565 (or 157 pallets of) PPE items to 278 Johnson County entities. In total, since March 2020, Johnson County has distributed 16,871,574 (or 1,623 pallets of) PPE items to 1,380 Johnson County entities.

Additionally, Johnson County deactivated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for COVID-19 response operations at 5 p.m., on Tuesday, June 22. It was previously activated to an "Enhanced Watch" on March 8, 2020, transitioned to a partial activation on March 14, 2020, and went to virtual operations on March 27, 2020. The EOC was active for 472 days total. Although the EOC is no longer active, Emergency Management continues to monitor the impacts of COVID-19 and assist as needed.
