The holidays are coming early to the Johnson County Museum

Enjoy the sparkle of an aluminum tree, the glow of big-bulb lights, and the nostalgia of vintage décor throughout the 1954 All-Electric House at the Johnson County Museum this holiday season.

As a special treat, on December 12, a refurbished 1949 Lionel train set will be running under the tree from 11 to 2! There will also be retro inspired crafts and we’ve pulled popular gifts from across the decades — see if you can guess what they are!

The first 60 guests to the museum on Saturday, December 12, will receive a free cookie decorating kit from the bakery elves.

Don't forget to pre-register for Kidscape if you plan to play (members and non-members).

The museum follows COVID guidelines with masks required for those five and older, social distancing, occupancy limits and extra opportunities to practice hand hygiene. The museum staff also practices enhanced sanitation protocols for COVID.
