On Thursday, Nov. 19, the Board of County Commissioners discussed the new public health order that went into effect on Monday, Nov. 16. One element that required further discussion was enforcement of the order.
During today's Board of County Commissioners meeting, the board approved the proposed enforcement measure, Resolution No. 108-20.
Chairman Ed Eilert emphasized that enforcement will primarily come in the form of awareness and education - advising business owners of the order's requirements - including limits on mass gatherings and physical distancing. Masking requirements fall under the Governor's mask order that is currently in effect in Johnson County.
