In May, the Johnson County Election Office mailed advance voting applications to every registered voter for the 2020 elections to help reduce traffic at in-person voting locations and keep voters and election workers safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today, July 15, the Election Office mailed ballots for the August primary election to more than 90,000 voters in the county. The number of ballots mailed surpasses the total number of votes cast in the 2016 and 2008 primary elections.
