The Board of County Commissioners held its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, June 25, and discussed, among other items COVID-19.
In addition to the early mentioned action on PPE, other pandemic-related items for discussion included:
- The weekly COVID-19 Operating Report, detailing COVID-19 specific expenditures and funding received is available here. To date the organization has expended $1,510,996.34 which is eligible for CARES act reimbursement and received $118,879,369.82 in federal funds.
- Johnson County was awarded $631,737 in CDBG CARES funding from HUD. The 15% cap on public service activities has been removed. An existing MOU with the City of Olathe entitles it to 41% of these funds after administration costs are removed.
- COVID-19 update Dr. Sanmi Areola, Johnson County Department of Health and Environment Director.
- Dr. Sanmi Areola and Dr. Joseph LeMaster gave updates on current infection rates, hospitalization and trends.
